Politicians, Your Paycheck and Your Pension: What You Need to Know

LIUNA members are united by collective bargaining agreements which set family-supporting pay, good benefits and pensions. But across the country, extremist politicians have gained the power to attack what we have earned through our contracts. You, your family and our country are about more than just work – we’re about working to prosper. Our collective bargaining agreements allow us to do that and we must protect them.

Make sure you are registered to vote and get to the polls in November. If you need assistance in finding your polling place or any other election information you may visit the website of your County Clerk. McHenry County and Boone County Clerks are listed below for your convenience. If you live outside these counties and need assistance, feel free to call the hall and we will be happy to help.

For those of you who are not registered to vote, we strongly encourage to do so! In these trying economic times, we are under attack by those who wish for our demise more and more every day. If we don't elect people who believe in what we stand for, and will be there for us when we need their assistance, it is only a matter of time before we will meet our demise. Vernon Bauman and David Sheahan are Deputy Registrars and would be happy to register you. It is YOUR RIGHT as an American and YOUR DUTY as a union member to vote! There is no acceptable excuse for this Local to not be 100% registered to vote, and sadly, we are not.
